亚洲色吧 demographer wins $1.1 million fellowship

One of Australia's most prestigious research fellowships(announced this week by Education, Training and Science Minister Dr Brendan Nelson(has been awarded to the University of 亚洲色吧's Professor Graeme Hugo.

The Federation Fellowships are the most prestigious and richest publicly funded research fellowships ever offered in Australia. Dr Nelson has announced 11 new fellowships for 2002, won by highly distinguished researchers who are regarded as among the best in the world in their individual fields.

Professor Graeme Hugo, from the Department of Geographical and Environmental Studies at the University of 亚洲色吧, has secured a $1.125 million fellowship over five years for his research project, "The new paradigm of international migration to and from Australia: dimensions, causes and implications".

Professor Hugo is one of Australia's best-known demographers and commentators on population and immigration issues.
